Frequently Asked Questions
These are some of the most common questions we get from medical device teams, dental clinics and education partners. If yours isn’t listed here, just send us a message.
Costs vary depending on length, complexity and level of detail. A 30-second simple explainer is very different from a 2-minute piece with complex anatomy and multiple scenes.
We usually start with a short call about your project (device, dental or educational), then send a fixed project quote so you know exactly what’s included. If you can share a rough duration and how the animation will be used, we can give you a ballpark range in our first conversation.
For a typical 60–90 second animation, most projects take about 4–8 weeks from kickoff to final delivery.
Timing depends on:
complexity of the topic and visuals
whether we’re using your existing CAD / assets or building from scratch
how quickly feedback is provided at each review stage
If you have a specific deadline (conference, product launch, course start date), tell us upfront and we’ll plan around it or tell you honestly what’s realistic.
At minimum we need:
a short description of your goal (device launch, patient education, training, etc.)
any existing documents, slides, CAD files, manuals or references
your target audience (patients, clinicians, investors, students)
rough timing you’re aiming for
If you don’t have a finished script, that’s fine. Many clients only have notes or slides; we help turn that into a clear narrative.
Once the project is fully paid, you receive a license to use the final animation for the agreed purposes (for example: website, social media, presentations, internal training, waiting room screens).
If you need broader usage – such as reselling the animation as part of a commercial course or campaign – we’ll define that clearly in the contract so there are no surprises.
We normally keep the source project files so we can update or reuse elements for future work, but they can also be licensed separately if needed.
Yes. We regularly work from CAD files (STEP, IGES, etc.), reference models, product photos and brand guidelines.
We clean and optimise CAD for animation so it looks good and runs smoothly, and we follow your colors, fonts and visual style so the animation fits perfectly with your other materials.
Accuracy is a core part of our workflow:
We start from your documentation and references, and add our own research from trusted sources.
You or your medical/clinical experts review the script and storyboard before we animate.
We share preview versions at key stages so you can check anatomy, device behaviour and procedure steps.
Nothing goes final until your team is happy with both the science and the visuals.
In short:
Discovery – understand your goals, audience, timeline and constraints
Research & concept – gather material and define the key story
Script & storyboard – turn your idea into a clear narrative with visuals
3D production – modelling, animation, lighting, labelling, audio
Review & refine – you give feedback, we adjust
Final delivery – export in all needed formats and resolutions
You’ll always know which stage we’re in and what we need from you next.
Most clients receive:
HD or 4K video files (MP4) for web, presentations and screens
optional short cutdowns for social media
optional still images for print, slides and brochures
If you have specific technical requirements (for example, for your LMS, app or event system), let us know and we’ll export in the right format.
Yes. We can provide voiceover and on-screen text in different languages. You can supply translations and voice talent, or we can help arrange that as part of the project.
Absolutely. Many of our projects involve confidential devices, trials or internal training. We are happy to sign your NDA and handle all materials with strict confidentiality.
